So it began...on Monday the 11th of October
And here I am; 7 chapters, 80 pages and one late night later - I'm hooked
It's Brilliant!
Not only is it genius writing, but it's deep and so true:
Something I can actually relate to.
Particular favourite: Page 60, Paragraph 2, Lines 1-6.
"I turned and fled into the rain.
Out in the street I pushed my hand deep in my pocket,
closing my fingers around the warmth of her touch,
like an object I was afraid of losing.
For a long time as I walked I wondered what it might be like to feel that touch,
every day, whenever you felt the need.
On an arm, on the back of your neck, on your cheek.
A kiss. An embrace."
I love this quote, it demonstrates great love
Sadly, the love is one sided.
While his every thought is of her and
his every action is to please her -
She is completely oblivious to his feelings.
But, should he be so dissatisfied with what he already has?
Why do we always want what someone else has?
Why are we always wanting more?
Is anyone content with their own life or is content simply not good enough?
Just a thought.
Lauren it's Jessica:). This is beautiful! What a gorgeous picture of you and your sister<3. This is so inspirational, I have a book token and I'm going down to the book shop to get this tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAs for this trip that you're embracing, it's an amazing opportunity, and I hope you have the time of your life! Good luck to you, I'm sure you will meet inspirational people out there, and you will be the light in many people's lives.
